Hey I’m Kay!

Hey there! I’m Brandie Kay! Some people call me Brandie, some people call me Kay, but I will answer either way!

Who Am I?

I am a “jack of many trades” as they say! I am the owner and principal photographer for Pride & Bloom, but I am also an aspiring author, and I do loans and taxes!

I am a mom of three, and you may meet my youngest, who is featured below. I grew up in Wisconsin, beginning my photography journey with landscapes and still life images. Soon after, I developed a deep-rooted love for capturing other people’s happiest moments.

From there, not only did I want to capture the happy moments, but also the moments that told who people were.

Telling Stories

How do you capture the moments that tell who people truly are? By getting to know you and helping you explore the depths of who you are. Here, you're more than just a client—you’re a friend.

Sure, photography is art, but you know what else is art? Your story. That’s what I do—I capture you—your essence—while learning about you, and then I tell it. You have a legacy that deserves to be told, no matter who you are or how you’ve arrived at this moment. Even if you think no one will care, your story matters.

Hence, have pride in yourself, and bloom into the person you want to become.

And how do I do it? With a little help from my mini assistant, who's learning the ropes to becoming a photographer herself—and who’s also the ultimate hype girl! When the moment calls for it, she’ll join our session, showering you with compliments, getting genuine laughs, and helping you feel your best.

So, when she pops in, say hello to Ms. Astrid!
